Overview

The CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group) Safety Passport is the engineering construction industry safety card. Workers must have a valid CCNSG Safety Passport to enter many engineering and construction sites. As a result, around 30,000 people complete the course each year

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for anyone working within the petro-chemical, engineering and installation and maintenance sectors and useful for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives including contractor personnel.

Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide contractor site personnel with an underpinning knowledge of Health & Safety to enable them to work on a site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.

Course Content

  • Introduction to health & safety law and permits to work

  • Safe access and egress

  • Safe working practices

  • Accident and First Aid Procedures

  • COSHH and PPE

  • Fire precautions and procedures

  • Noise

  • Manual handling

  • Excavations

  • Working with cranes and heavy plant equipment

Assessment

Each module of the CCNSG Safety Passport is assessed through a multiple choice question paper consisting of 20 questions each. The examination pass mark for each paper is set at 80%.

On Completion

On successful completion of the course delegates will receive an ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport. This card must be renewed every 3 years by taking the ECITB CCNSG 1 Day Safety Passport Renewal course.
