L4 Construction Site Supervisor (Retrofit) - Bootcamp
This bootcamp gives construction workers the confidence to carry out your supervisory responsibilities effectively.
They will also earn a L4 NVQ in Construction Site Supervision, Gold CSCS Supervisor card, Emergency First Aid at Work and CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificates
Delivered over a maximum of 16 weeks, these sessions are delivered flexibly to meet the needs of your business.
Bootcamps are Part Funded for Tees Valley Businesses or Workers- SME’s pay just 10% (£241.50) and Large Businesses pay 30% (£724.50).
CITB Levy Payers can claim CITB grants of £1370 on completion.
Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision - Blended / Work place learning (Essential)
The Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision(Construction) - Retrofit qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working as a site supervisor or assistant site manager.
Gold CSCS Supervisors Card / HSE Test (Optional)
On Completion of your NVQ you will sit the relevant HSE test. Once completed, we will apply for your Gold Supervisors CSCS Card.
Emergency First Aid at Work - 1 Day (Optional)
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment
CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) - 2 Days (Optional)
You will learn about your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

If you are Self Employed, the qualification is 100% funded.

L3 Trowel Occupations (Bricklaying) Bootcamp
This bootcamp allows a bricklayer to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrate their competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a bricklayer
This bricklaying Skills Bootcamp has been designed for learners who are currently employed and must be completed in a real-world working environment.
They will also earn a L3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision, Gold CSCS Supervisor card, Emergency First Aid at Work and CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificates
Delivered over a maximum of 16 weeks, these sessions are delivered flexibly to meet the needs of your business.

If you are Self Employed, the qualification is 100% funded.

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction)
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working as a Bricklayer. It is accepted by CSCS When applying for a Gold Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
Gold CSCS Skilled Worker Card / HSE Test
On Completion of your NVQ, you will sit the relevant HSE test. Once completed, we will apply for your Gold Skilled Worker CSCS Card for you.
Abrasive Wheels - 0.5 Days (optional)
Unsafe practices and operator errors cause almost half of abrasive wheel accidents. Strict health and safety practices are essential when working with abrasive wheels to prevent harm. This course offers an intro to working safely with abrasive wheels, helping you understand risks and required control measures.
Face Fit Testing - 1 hour (Optional)
Proper fit is crucial for Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) to offer adequate protection. Tight-fitting face masks should match the wearer's face shape and size. Leaks can occur due to poor fit, making RPE ineffective. Fit testing is necessary to select the right equipment for the wearer.
Preparation for Employment – Groundworks (County Durham)
This course has been designed to give you the basic qualifications which employers look for when hiring. Over the two-week period you will gain both theory and practical skills to support you in gaining employment in the construction industry. The qualifications you will gain include a green labourer CSCS card, NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper, NPORS Ride on Roller, Groundworks and a range of construction awareness courses to help kick start your career. This course is delivered in Hartlepool and travel support may be available
Sessions:
Level 1 Health and Safety awareness in construction.
CSCS Test and Labourer Card.
NPORS Ride on Roller training and test.
NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper training and test
Awareness Courses - Asbestos, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels.
Course length: 2 weeks.
Eligibility:
This course is eligible for County Durham residents aged 19+ (as of 31st August 2023) who are unemployed, or employed and earning less that £20,3119 per annum.
