What are Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps are funded flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving adults the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills to progress in their current role as part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.
Entry Requirements
Skills Bootcamps are open to adults aged 19 and over who are either:
Employed
Self-Employed
All delegates must not be on any other funded qualification such as: Apprenticeship, any other skills bootcamp, AEB, Traineeships and Multiply.
Employers, Employed and Self Employed
If you are a business looking to up-skill your current employees, or a employed or self-employed construction worker, then our Skills Bootcamps are ideal, enabling you/your employees to develop skills you/they need, and you/your business to stay ahead of the curve.
We offer the following Skills Bootcamp in Construction training:
Tees Valley - Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland
Skills Bootcamp Level 4 Green Skills - Supervisor - Retrofit and Level 2 Carbon Awareness
North of Tyne - Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Roofing
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Paining and Decorating
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Plastering
Whole of the North East
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Bricklaying
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Wood Occupations
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Building Treatments
Skills Bootcamp Level 3 Construction - Occupational Work Supervision
Skills Bootcamp Level 4 Green Skills - Supervisor - Retrofit and Level 2 Carbon Awareness
To be eligible to access funding, you/your staff member should be aged 19 or over.

Cost
If you train an existing employee through Skills Bootcamps, you will need to make a training cost contribution:
10% if you are a small to medium employer with 1 to 249 employees
30% if you are a large employer with 250 or more employees
Your employees may require time off for study and classes, depending on course flexibility and work hours.
If you are an individual Employed or Self-Employed, there is no cost and is fully funded.
